Orientarsi a Firenze

Con qualunque mezzo decidiate di arrivare a visitare Firenze, giungendo in città la stazione centrale di Santa Maria Novella sarà un ottimo punto di riferimento.

Per raggiungere il centro, il modo più diretto è seguire via De’ Panzani e poi via De’ Conterranei, facendo circa 10 minuti di cammino. Avrete la certezza di essere arrivati quando comincerete a scorgere il Duomo, ovvero la Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore.

La maggior parte delle attrazioni principali è facilmente raggiungibile a piedi perchè per andare da un capo all’altro del centro ci vogliono circa 30 minuti.

Da piazza San Giovanni, dove sorge il Battistero, via Roma conduce a piazza della Repubblica e prosegue con il nome di Via Calimala e poi di Via Por Santa Maria fino al Ponte Vecchio. Da piazza del Duomo dovrete prendere via De’ Calzaiuoli per arrivare in Piazza della Signoria, la sede storica del governo.

Gli Uffizi si trovano sul margine meridionale della piazza, vicino all’Arno. Se volete godere di una veduta splendida della città, attraversate Ponte Vecchio, oppure Ponte delle Grazie, più a est, e dirigetevi verso sud est fino al Piazzale Michelangelo.

La Basilica di Santa Maria Novella

La Basilica di Santa Maria Novella è sicuramente una delle principali attrazioni di Firenze che non dovete perdervi durante il vostro soggiorno in città.
Se arrivate in treno sarà la prima cosa che potrete vedere perché si trova immediatamente a sud della stazione omonima.
Può essere quindi la prima tappa del vostro itinerario per visitare Firenze in 3 giorni (ma anche in 1,2 o in quanti giorni volete!).

Se avete poco tempo o semplicemente non volete perderlo all’ingresso, vi suggeriamo di procurarvi il biglietto on line, che vi darà diritto all’accesso prioritario.

l complesso di Santa Maria Novella venne iniziato alla fine del XIII secolo come sede fiorentina dei frati domenicani. Quasi ultimata nel 1360, i lavori sulla facciata e l’abbellimento dell’interno proseguirono fino a buona parte del XV secolo.

La raffinata parte superiore della facciata, progettata da Leon Battista Alberti (così come la porta principale) ha influenzato generazioni di architetti con i suoi motivi classici e il perfetto equilibrio geometrico. Furono entrambe completate attorno al 1470.
La parte inferiore, in marmo verde e bianco mostra la transizione dallo stile romanico a quello gotico.

All’interno della navata di sinistra si trova l’opera di maggior spicco: il superbo affresco della Trinità di Masaccio (1427), che rappresenta uno dei capolavori dell’arte rinascimentale per lo scenario tipicamente classico e per l’impianto prospettico quasi perfetto. E’ una delle prime opere in cui furono utilizzate le tecniche della prospettiva e delle proporzioni.

Un crocifisso del Brunelleschi sormonta l’altare della Cappella Gondi.
Sull’altare principale, nella navata centrale, è collocato invece il Crocifisso di Giotto, dipinto su tavola, alto circa 5,25 metri. 
È considerato una delle prime opere monumentali di questo artista e un capolavoro dell’arte gotica italiana.

Da notare le inquietanti parole scritte sullo scheletro: “io fui già quel che voi siete, e quel ch’i’ son voi anco sarete”.
Splendidi anche i cicli di affreschi, in modo particolare quelli vivaci di Filippino Lippi che raffigurano la vita di Giovanni Evangelista e San Filippo Apostolo (nella Cappella Strozzi, a destra dell’altare).

Degni di nota anche quelli di Domenico Ghirlandaio, che ritraggono episodi della vita della Vergine Maria, di San Giovanni e di altri personaggi (nella Cappella Tornabuoni) notevoli perchè riportano uno spaccato di vita fiorentina durante il Rinascimento. La vergine è raffigurata nei panni di una nobile fiorentina dell’epoca e sono ritratti anche membri della famiglia committente, i Tornabuoni.

La maratona di Firenze 2024

La Maratona di Firenze è l’evento sportivo più importante in Toscana e, insieme con la Maratona di Venezia, di Roma e quella di Milano, è la più importante gara di corsa d’Italia.

La maratona di Firenze non è solo una competizione per amanti di corsa e podismo, ma, nel corso degli anni, è diventata uno degli appuntamenti assolutamente da non perdere per runners italiani e internazionali, le loro famiglie e per tutti gli appassionati.

E’ un itinerario attraverso scorci paesaggistici e scenari che hanno reso la città unica al mondo. 42 chilometri e 195 metri che si snodano attraverso le sue bellezze, i suoi luoghi di cultura e le sue attrazioni principali, come il Lungarno, il Parco Delle Cascine, Piazza Duomo, Piazza della Signoria, Ponte Vecchio, Palazzo Pitti, solo per citarne alcuni.
Il percorso è senza dislivelli,  come previsto dalle norme IAAF, e si svolge sempre su strade asfaltate, in modo da renderlo particolarmente scorrevole e perciò apprezzato da tutti gli atleti.

3.            Basis of Contract

3.2.        In entering into this contract you have not relied on any representation or information from any source except the definition and explanation of the Services given on Our Website.

14.9.      In the event of a dispute between the parties to this agreement, then they undertake to attempt to settle the dispute by engaging in good faith with the other in a process of mediation before commencing arbitration or litigation.

Il nostro itinerario non può che iniziare da Via de’ Tornabuoni, la più prestigiosa ed elegante strada della città, fiancheggiata da palazzi nobiliari nei quali si aprono le belle vetrine che espongono abbigliamento di grandi firme, gioielli e oggetti di alta qualità.
Anche le vie adiacenti, come via della Vigna Nuova, via de’ Fossi, via del Sole, sono un vero paradiso per lo shopping a Firenze.

Da via de’ Tornabuoni, dopo palazzo Spini-Ferroni,passeggiate lungo borgo Santi Apostoli, fino ad incrociare por Santa Maria.
Da qui, una breve digressione a sinistra, porta al Mercato nuovo del Porcellino, dove potrete trovare paglie fiorentine, ricami a mano, pelletterie, mentre girando a destra raggiungerete Ponte Vecchio, per tradizione regno incontrastato delle botteghe orafe.

Oltrepassato il ponte si apre l’Oltrarno, con Borgo Santo Spirito, Borgo San Frediano che ospitano bei laboratori di oreficeria dove ammirare creazioni eccezionali e dove è possibile scoprire le botteghe famose per il cesello dell’argento. Piazza Pitti, via Maggio (strada famosa per l’antiquariato) e Borgo San Iacopo sono i luoghi più ricchi si sorprese del quartiere di Borgo Santo Spirito, via Bartolini e Borgo San Frediano quelli dell’omonimo quartiere.
